One of my most FAQ: “What color are your walls?”
Thought I’d warm up from the blanket of white snow outside by sharing my favorite white paint colors – some that are in my home and others that belong to my incredibly talented friends. I’ll also share what I would have done differently! Let’s dive in!
Most of my house is SW Alabaster. Alabaster is a gorgeous warm white, however, in the absence of a lot of natural light, I think it does lean a little cream. I love Alabaster on an exterior (we color matched to Alabaster on our exterior, too! Technically, it is PPG Gypsum!).
All of our trim is SW Extra White, including shiplap, unless otherwise stated. I actually love the brightness of this color on the walls!

In the photo below of our master bedroom where the shiplap meets the wall, the brightness of SW Extra White really shows the creaminess of SW Alabaster in a darker corner. If using Alabaster on the walls, I recommend using Alabaster also on the trim in a different sheen or cutting it to 75% or 50% so your whites don’t clash. Don’t be me! Don’t make my mistake!

winner winner!
Claire’s nursery is Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, and it is my absolute favorite. If I could go back, I’d do my entire house this color – it is the perfect bright white without being too stark. My friend Tiffany @growingupgowler used it in her home and it’s just perfect (below, right)
Hope this was helpful!
Happy Painting!
